Predicting Seattle Metropolitan Area Home Prices With Machine Learning

Welcome to the Seattle House Price Prediction website!

We want to predict Seattle metropolitan home prices using two different machine learning models: Multiple Linear Regression and Random Forest.

The dataset includes house data from King County in US State of Washington, which also covers Seattle Metropolitan Area. The dataset consists of 20 attributes and 21613 observations, including historic data of houses sold between May 2014 to May 2015.

After examining and cleaning the Seattle home data, we noticed several sections that could potentially affect the accuracy of our machine learningmodels. A couple of examples of information that can affect the accuracy of our models include data showing whether the home was renovated in addition to when the home was built, and a numeric scale to show the value of the home's view.
